Bunny here at the keyboard to write a little about my weekend.
In case you humans haven’t heard, there’s this thing called the eclipse that’s happening today. I thought a full moon was bad, but this thing seems to have seriously affected my human’s brain. Our weekend adventure was planned around this crazy alignment of the Earth, the sun and the moon.
We actually live pretty close to the best place to see the solar eclipse.
Dad was talking about going over to Champaign to see the solar eclipse from there, where they are having a huge event. It turns out that not just hundreds, but thousands of humans want to go see it there. Dad is not motivated enough to fight the crowds to see it there. My favorite human has her special glasses and plans to go outside to see it from work. There’s a party near where she works, but she doesn’t think she’ll have enough time on her break to get there and back.
We had a look at the glasses, and I have to tell you that I wasn’t that impressed.
They’re so dark, you can’t see anything through them. I hardly see the point of wearing the crazy things if you can’t see anything out of them. It wasn’t just my old lady eyes, either. Flattery tried them on and couldn’t see anything either. I hope my human knows what she’s getting into.
I know it’s a rare event, but I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. Since it happens during my regularly scheduled afternoon nap, my plan is to sleep through it. I hope that everyone who wants to see it gets to. I hear that humans are quite excited about it.
Our weekend adventure consisted of trying to find just the right spot for my human to take some photos of us, and that included some of Flattery wearing the glasses. I have to brag that I’ve taught her well. She wore those glasses like a pro. After all that hard work modeling, we had our puppucinos and headed home to relax. It was fun going out and having some together time away from home, but nothing beats a good nap when you get home, especially when your favorite human is home to curl up to.
