A Taste Of Spring Fancy

by Houndstooth on
Bunny here at the keyboard to tell you about something that has been tickling my fancy this spring.

As you might know, I’m a hound with discerning tastes.  I am known to be a bit picky about what I like to eat, as the ladies at the nursing home will tell you.  When our friends at Merrick Pet Care asked me if I wanted to sample the new limited edition spring flavors, I was a happy hound, because I have never met a can of their food that I didn’t like.  Since I’m a generous kind of hound, I wanted to share it with you so that other dogs can enjoy a taste of spring fancy.  They are all grain free and look good enough for humans to eat, but we dogs have to have something that’s all ours.

The first flavor is Sweetheart Stew, and I would say that I truly love this one.  It was a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but also several other times when human just thought we were extra lovable.  It has chicken, sweet potatoes and red apples.  Flattery is convinced that they made this flavor just for her because her birthday is so close to Valentine’s Day.  Don’t worry, I’ll let her live the dream.

The second is Kiss Me, I’m Irish Stew and it made my taste buds dance a jig.  If you need a little extra something to enjoy while the humans are overindulging on green beer, this is for you.  It has beef, beef broth, Yukon gold potatoes, carrots and peas in a delicious gravy.  Trust me when I tell you that it is better than anything you will find in a pot at the end of the rainbow.  Leprechauns would be jealous if they knew about it.

Last, there’s Easter Brunch, which is a perfect breakfast if you ask me.  Duck, Cornish hen, sweet potatoes and raspberries in a tasty gravy are what’s inside, and it was delicious.  I hope that the Easter Bunny brings some to every dog out there, because let’s face it, most of the humans aren’t even eating this well.  For you humans who like your pups to have something special for the holidays, this is a good choice that’s a lot healthier than what comes off your plate for us.

Easter Surprise -- Tales and Tails

Easter Surprise

All in all, I am a big fan of Merrick food.  They put dogs first when they cook up their recipes and it shows.  After my dental surgery, I ate these foods and I felt like a queen.  My humans usually stir some in with our kibble and all four of us dogs always lick the bottom of the bowl clean because we love it so much.  It’s a nice way to add a little variety to your palette without upsetting your delicate constitution.  We give the limited edition flavors two dew claws up.  Get out there and try them before they’re gone.

We were compensated to share the limited edition spring flavors of Merrick Pet Care with you.  However, Tales and Tails does not endorse things that don’t make our tails wag.  We use this product on a regular basis and we definitely think your dog will enjoy it, too.
