Still Learning New Tricks At #BlogPaws

by Houndstooth on

This post is sponsored by Smart Bones and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I have been selected as a Sponsored Blogger to attend the BlogPaws 2016 Conference on behalf of Smart Bones however we only work with brands we love. BlogPaws and my Sponsor are not responsible for the content of this article.

I’ve been reflecting the past few weeks about my BlogPaws experience and I feel like I’m still digesting all of the things I soaked up while I was there.  I was lucky enough to be sponsored by Smart Bones to go see and learn all I could.  I was lucky enough to meet some people who were attending for the first time and I loved their enthusiasm and excitement about the event.  It was infectious and I found myself really engrossed in the conference as well.

Love The Smart Bones

It’s hard to describe, but I feel like every year when I attend the conference, I feel re energized about writing the blog and sharing things that I’ve learned.  There are so many things that you pick up just from being there when you aren’t in any of the sessions, whether it’s learning new blog tricks or meeting people that you share a spark of an idea with that turns into a bonfire.  As bloggers, we often operate in a social vacuum.  We talk to each other online, but it’s rare in our day to day lives that we meet other bloggers, much less people who are passionate about writing about animals the way we are.  There’s just such a wonderful feeling of community there as well as an energy that almost feels palpable at times.

I love that every time I attend, I’m still learning new tricks and getting better ideas.  When you spend so much time working on a blog alone, it’s easy to lose perspective or get discouraged.  The truth is that we all have to go out and live life to be able to have something to write about here in the cyber world.  It can be exhilarating and frightening at the same time.  Learning that you aren’t alone and bouncing ideas off people can be a huge boost and lead you in new directions that you might not have dreamed about on your own.

I am so thankful that Smart Bones sponsored me and sent me to the conference.  It turned out to be a great opportunity for me in more ways than one.  Not only did I have the wonderful conference experience, but I had a fantastic sponsor experience, too.  There are a lot of pet based businesses that approach me asking me to work with them, but a lot of them are companies I don’t feel comfortable with.  I was thrilled to work with Smart Bones because they produce a product that I feel good about giving to my dogs and it’s something that they need.

The Smart Choice For Dogs -- Tales and Tails

The Smart Choice For Dogs

Keeping our dogs’ teeth clean is an ongoing battle for us, and having a chew that is rawhide free, not produced in China and is highly digestible and low fat is a huge relief.  It’s actually more than a relief, it’s a Godsend for us.  They’re affordable and safe, which helps us to keep the dogs healthy and happy.  They also offer a great variety of flavors.

I am thrilled that we learned about Smart Bones through this experience and it’s something that will continue to benefit us for a long time to come.

I so wish we could get that brand here. I use to give my dogs rawhide chews until I read about all the chemical they use on them. Pedigree have a product, which is soft but has a shape that’s supposed to help clean teeth. They are expensive and even the shops own brand make my girls runny. I am always looking out for something that is suitable. Maybe I should get in touch with the company and see if I can be the sole contributor in England:)

Well you have a lovely day. Sue, Polly & Honey

NB…Just Goggled the company and they do sell here, so will look out for it.

  2. You are so lucky to be sponsored! One year we will attend Blogpaws…

Was it as much fun as we imagine? Did you have a booth to talk about Smart Bones?
