Today’s post is short one, because last night I went out for to see Drew Lynch for my birthday. For those wondering who he is, he’s a comedian who was on America’s Got Talent and took second place. Since then, he’s gathered a large following of fans on YouTube who enjoy his vlog where he talks about things on his mind while his service dog, Stella, sits beside him with hilarious thought bubbles.
I admit, I was really hoping to see Stella, and she did make an appearance after the show. Part of his routine involved talking about his dog and some of the things we as dog owners don’t always enjoy so much. As I sat there laughing,I was thinking about how true a lot of what he said was.
Even service dogs can make you a little crazy in their search for the right place to answer the call of nature, apparently. As he talked about how his dog will occasionally fake him out so that she can enjoy a little outdoor time, I thought of my own dogs’ antics. Regardless of whether you’re a humble blogger in the Midwest or a famous comedian from a national talent show, some things are the same. You are still going to have to pick up poop and dispose of it if you have a dog. You’re also still going to be the most important person in the world to that dog.
