Bunny here at the keyboard, writing about my weekend and some things I’m thinking about.
We are getting ready for a big adventure, which Mom says means we need to stick close to home for the next few weekends so we can get ready for bigger things to come. This weekend, Dad and Küster were busy getting ready to head out for a big training session, which I’m sure they’ll tell you more about on Saturday. At least, that’s my bet. My humans also had this movie they wanted to go see that was chock full of superheroes. I heard there were no dogs in it, so I don’t feel that I missed anything, but I’m not sure why they were so gung ho about it.
Anyway, I have several adventures that will be coming up.
We have a friend who is supposed to come visit us this month, we may be having a party when the parade comes through town, Mom has a birthday (although there seems to have been an oversight because I was not invited to Grandpa’s house for the cookout), I have to go and get my eye exam and we’re going to BlogPaws. I am pretty excited about all of these events, but I admit that finally seeing Blogpaws has me pretty excited.
Mom and Dad are driving this year, so that means I can go with them. Morgan doesn’t handle riding in the car, people being near the car or other people and dogs in general very well, so she is staying with a good friend of ours who will probably spoil her like crazy. Dad is planning on taking Küster and possibly meeting some other SAR handlers nearby. Mom was going to find someone to watch Flattery, but Dad has convinced her that Flattery should go. We are praying that she doesn’t get us banned from Nashville. So, for all you Flattery fans who are attending, watch out for her. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
I am also trying to decide what to pack and take with me. My human says I have to pack light, but I have a reputation to uphold. A hound has to look her best at a big public event. Narrowing down my wardrobe for three days’ worth of fun and socializing isn’t as easy as it sounds.
We are also trying to decide what to do on our one free night in Nashville, too. We can’t go all that way and not see anything besides the inside of the hotel. I told my human that we should find her a pair of pink boots, but she is skeptical. She said we’ll probably have so much loot to bring home that we might not have room for boots. I find this hard to believe, but we’ll see.
Even though, this weekend wasn’t too exciting, there are better things ahead.
Sometimes you have to relax and plan for the future. I hope that I’ll get to meet a lot of friends while we’re there and have a lot of fun. Mom says it’s really busy, too, so I’d better rest up before we get there. I only have twenty three days left to get ready for the big event. If you plan on being there, I hope we get to meet up.
