A Return To Adventure

Bunny here at the keyboard with an adventure to finally share with you.

You may have read that my human hasn’t been feeling her best lately.  A combination of poor weather and her lack of energy have meant that we laid off on the adventures for awhile.  This weekend, though, we had some weather too nice to ignore and she was feeling a bit peppier, so we headed to downtown Peoria for a scenic walk.

Walking Down the Street

I am so glad that we went.

I think it did wonders for my human, and because it was a Sunday afternoon, we had most of the streets to ourselves.  It was sunny and warm, even though it was a little windy.

Aside from how happy I was to be stretching my legs in the warm weather was the fact that I loved being out and about with my human during our return to adventure.  Since it was quieter than usual, we got to see things in a new light, too.  There are a lot of old buildings in that area that are being renovated or preserved, and they have a lot of character and detail that you don’t see in modern buildings.  We took our time and enjoyed a leisurely stroll, letting the sunshine and our curiosity lead us where they might.

It’s  true that this wasn’t the most exciting adventure that we’ve ever had, but I think it was good for our souls.

We got to admire the sunshine, the history and each other.  It doesn’t get much better than that for us.  I’m hoping that it will be a good omen for us to have fun outings when spring break gets here in a few weeks.  Even if we just take fun walks like this one, I’ll be a happy girl.
