A Few Words Of Gratitude

by Houndstooth on

As I’m getting back into the swing of things at work, at home and here on the blog, I wanted to say a few words of gratitude to the many people who have reached out to me to offer words of encouragement and support.  I think until you’re in that boat, you don’t really appreciate how much all those small gestures mean.  Feeling all the love from people and dogs both near and far has really helped me to stay on the road to recovery during a pretty tough week.

Dandelion -- Tales and Tails

The Greyhounds, the Shepherds and Mr. Taleteller have all gone above and beyond to help me as I recovered.  Most of the time, I just felt really tired, but everyone at home has been quiet, even Morgan, and easy to get along with.  I couldn’t ask for a better team here at home to look out for me.  My family and my husband’s have been really sweet and kind to me, too.

People I’ve been friends with online through social media have been very encouraging, too.  I’m so thankful for all the messages of support.  It takes a small amount of time to type something, but those words can be priceless.  In a day and age when too many people use social media to tear each other down, spread gossip and spread negativity, it’s reassuring to know that people still use it to make the world a better place, too.

Love You, Mom -- Tales and Tails

Love You, Mom

So, to everyone who has wished me well, thank you!  I’m definitely on my way to recovery and feeling better than I have in a long time.  I count myself lucky to “know” each and every one of  you.

I’m incredibly happy you’re doing better and recovering nicely! And truer words haven’t been spoken; social media can be both a blessing and a curse, and I’m glad you found comfort and support from people all over the states and also at the other end of the globe.

So glad that you are feeling better. Knowing that people and our pets care about us, does help us to heal. Hope you are back to normal in no time.
