Enjoying Spring

By Houndstooth

Bunny here at the keyboard, writing about life while Mom is on vacation.

I have to say that I really like having Mom on vacation.  Sure, I have to get up in the morning with the pack and go outside to take care of business and eat breakfast, but then I can go back to bed with Mom and curl up for a few more hours.  After she gets up, I sit with her on the couch and then we decide what we’re going to do for her daily picture.

Waiting for the TrainThe best part about being a hound model is going for location shots.  This means that I get to go somewhere in the car with Mom almost every day.  I’m not going to lie.  This pleases me greatly.  I feel just a little bit proud when I leave the house and the rest of the pack stays behind.  Mom takes me someplace, I stand there and look good, and then I get treats.  Sometimes Mom goes to food places and we have some food to share, too.

Train WatchingThe best part is that I get Mom alone to myself for a while, though.  I wouldn’t care about the treats and food if we just went out someplace by ourselves and just hung out.  It’s fun to see new places and some of our old favorites.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy when we all get to go and do things together, too! It’s fun to be with the whole family.  Sometimes a girl just likes to have her own fun.  I wish Spring Break could last forever.

At the Depot

Every day seems like an adventure when we’re together, whether we get in the car and drive for a while or whether we just walk across town.  There’s just something special about being together in Springtime that warms the heart.  I think I’m the luckiest hound in the world to live with people who want to spend time with me, no matter what we decide to do.

Miss Bunny you just made me appreciate my MOM even more. I get to have her all to myself all the time. And she takes me everywhere, even to work. You reminded me not to take that for granted. I really like your photos. Was the train on time?

I love the sentiment of this post, but I am most taken by the photo shoot and the props used. Did your mom really take a big trunk with you for that shot? The depot must be in an out of the way place or you were there really early so nobody else was around. I love how you coordinated your leash with the bird cage. What a lovely setting for a lovely girl.

I think you are the luckiest hound in the world as well, Bunny. I love that first shot with your eyes up and standing at attention! I think that is the first time I’ve seen your hound eyes so alert. Very cool! Enjoy your time with Mom. Sounds like she’s having some warm fuzzies with you as well. :)
